🍀Tips & tricks for Dublin, Ireland!
Of course we couldn’t hit all of the bars we wanted to, or else I would still be in rehab across the pond 😂We stayed in a quaint little apartment off of O’Connell St that I booked off of booking.com, it was centrally located and walking distance to everything you need in Dublin. The public transportation is so on point that there is absolutely 0 reason to need a car, unless you are exploring other cities as well. 🚎We took the blue air coach #747 which was 7€ from the airport, right to the hotel at the top of our street. Most European flights land first thing in the AM so it’s most likely too early to check into your hotel, but Ned Kelly’s right off of O’Connell will hold your bags for 24 hours if needed, at 6€ a bag. This service is clutch since a lot of the restaurants aren’t all that large to accommodate your luggage. We started off getting breakfast at Murray’s pub, which eventually became my favorite bar EVER (and if you know me at all, well.) Murray’s has great food and a plethora of different bars all in the same building, all rooms have different vibes, so you are sure to find one for everybody in your group! Ha’ Penny bridge is just a 10 minute walk and is the gateway to Temple bar area! Adorable cobblestone streets with back to back bars all playing live music. Oliver St. John Gogarty was our favorite in this area. Don’t forget to eat, try the amazing fish & chips at Leo Burdocks, 🐟those Guinness sure will sneak up on ya! The temple bar itself was so busy we couldn’t even get in the front door, but the building is stunning 😂Another noteworthy area in Dublin is Grafton st, this street was deff for people who have a love for music. There is a lot of talent to listen to while window shopping past the expensive clothing/jewelry stores. While over near grafton don’t forget to touch Molly Malone’s breast, 🍒seriously, it’s good luck. While walking this area on our way to the Hairy Lemon pub 🍋(how do you not stop in a bar with that name)we found Farrier & Draper, the coolest restaurant with one hell of a cocktail list! 🍸🍹We didn’t end up eating here, but I highly recommend you do if you are on the hunt for a nice dinner while in Ireland. The bartender recommend we head over to Dingle Whiskey bar which is attached to Porter house brewing central, for a nightcap of one of their 170+ whiskies. 🥃The Irishman whiskey goes quite well with a pint of their porter! Also every Tuesday they have a whiskey tasting class for €23.

Then there was St. Patrick’s day….my liver still aches… well, of course we decided to start this day off at the Guinness storehouse! What a freaking experience, like seriously!.. I get distracted and bored very easily but this place kept us busy for 3 hours! Granted it was a huge holiday for Ireland, but I still imagine any other day of the week would be just as phenomenal! This building was so spectacular and the experience was 5star+! Be sure to save you vouch for the sky room up top, 🏙they only accept the vouch for up there while the other floors allow you to actually purchase a beer! 🍻When leaving I suggest you take a horse & buggy, really gives you the whole Sha-bang! 🐎A couple of other really cool spots were Brazen Head, the 800 year old pub making it the oldest in Dublin, R.I.O.T which is one of the top 10 dive bars in Europe, (and I LOVE dives, but have totally seen worse🤣)and their Pizza is actually delicious! Dinner at the church restaurant was phenomenal and the architecture just blew me away! We taxied over to Camden St as the locals say it’s where they go because it is much cheaper, I didn’t see too much of a difference but it was a cool area nonetheless. We also took a really nice train ride to red cow area to go to the Harley Davidson store & our way back we ended up walking in a fun area where we found Dice Bar, it is right over the bridge from Brazen Head! Also make sure you get to queen of tarts for breakfast!! 🍳 🥓 Obviously there is so much more to see and do, but these are some of the places I suggest you make sure to stop by. Our bartender at Farrier & Draper told us they had a professional come into Dublin to try and find out if there was a route you could take and not pass any pubs… he said they came up with it, but it is the real long way round, so what I am trying to say, is be ready for a detox when you get home!
🥃🍻sláinte!🍀
